Boost your immune system with Golden Milk ❤️

Natural methods of taking care of health and fighting infections have been my great passion for many years. So nature is my pharmacy. Today I would like to recommend Golden Milk. Golden milk is an old Ayurvedic drink. It’s essentially milk ( I use only plant-based) warmed with turmeric, a powerhouse spice with multiple documented health benefits.

According to “Medical News Today”, research has confirmed that curcumin, the active component of turmeric supports health in many ways :

☘️ Anti-Inflammatory- Turmeric has been shown to reduce inflammation and joint pain. Reducing inflammation can help prevent or manage conditions including heart disease ❤️

☘️ Mood Regulation: Curcumin “may be used as a safe and effective modality in patients with major depressive disorder.”

☘️ Antioxidant: Some studies have shown that Curcuma can help a person’s body repair cell damage and help reduce the risk of many illnesses

☘️ Supporting brain function and improving memory

☘️ Possibly reducing the risk of cancer

☘️ Lowering blood sugar level

☘️ Boosting the immune system

☘️ Aiding digestion

How to make Golden Milk?

The ideal solution is to prepare turmeric paste, more of which can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks. After 21 days, the pasta becomes unusable. This can be recognized by the slightly metallic smell. I immediately add black pepper and dried ginger to my turmeric paste so that all valuable ingredients are better absorbed by the body. Store the turmeric paste in a glass container- a plastic one is not suitable for this.

Ingredients:

2- 3 tablespoons of powdered turmeric (preferably organic!)

1/2 cup of water (or a little more)

2 - 3 pinches of ground black pepper

2-3 pinches of dried ginger (powder)

Execution:

Bring the water to a boil and add the turmeric, pepper and ginger. Cook while stirring until a thick paste forms. Boiling (light boiling) must be at least 7-8 minutes. If necessary, if the paste becomes too thick, add more water, and if it is too thin, add more turmeric. Of course, you have to be careful not to let the mass-burn!

The finished paste should be thick, but not too much. Feel the consistency so that it can be easily used. Put the ready paste into a glass container and store it in the refrigerator.

Golden Milk - the perfect medicine ❤️

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon turmeric paste / preferably organic (you can also use turmeric powder)

1 cup of plant-based milk

A pinch of ground black pepper

1 teaspoon of clarified butter or almond oil (coconut oil has a cooling effect)

Light honey - amount to taste

I enrich my drink with ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, or a bit of nutmeg - very healthy and delicious! 🙂

Execution:

So let's do it! If you don't have "Turmeric Paste" and are using ground turmeric, first bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan, add the turmeric, and simmer over medium heat for 8 minutes (the turmeric must be slightly simmering). If you are using Paste, you can skip this process. Then you do not need to use water, just heat the milk, and add turmeric paste, honey, and fat. Ready.

There are tons of modifications to Golden Milk. For colds, add grated or chopped ginger root to it. I like this version the most! It is important to strain this infusion through a strainer. Note - strongly heats up!

Enjoy and have a healthy, happy life ❤️
